Threasy is a boutique law practice and consultancy. We offer solutions to the Commonwealth and entities that transact with the Commonwealth, including enterprise. In 2025, Threasy became a brand of Civil & Appeal Law Group. The new name reflects the higher demand for our resources, and more measured curation and management of our work.

John 'X' Plumidis
Master of Laws (ANU, 2015); B Laws (Hons) / B Actuarial S (ANU, 2005).
Founder and Principal "JXP" is a member of the Law Society of the ACT. He was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of the ACT and of the High Court in 2006. He holds a Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies from the Australian National University.

Threasy primarily provides labour hire and transactional services in Commonwealth commercial law and governance. Examples of our work include:
